School Guard Glass

School Guard Glass is a laminated glass product designed, engineered and tested to withstand forced entry from an attacker while installed in standard commercial doors, frames and windows. In an intrusion event, this security glass provides adequate time for first responders to arrive on scene while lockdown procedures are implemented.

Delaying Intruders Can Save Lives

School Guard Glass is available in two types: SG4 and SG5. Both are laminated glass products comprised of a proprietary fusion polymer core cladded with annealed or tempered glass. This security glass meets the testing standards for ASTM F1233 and H.P. White 5-aa1, 5-aa5 and 5-aa10. When tested, School Guard Glass proves it significantly delays intruders, giving first responders valuable time to respond and save lives.

Design Options with School Guard Glass

With 98% optical clarity and no more than 1.8% optical haze, School Guard Glass looks identical to standard tempered glass or annealed flat glass. In most cases, it can be retrofitted into existing openings.
